Sarah Stubbs

About Me
Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, I received my Bachelorís degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from Texas A&M University. I then did my doctoral studies at UT Southwestern Medical Center in the lab of Dr. Nicholas Conrad where I studied how the RNA export protein, REF/Aly, affects transcription and RNA stability of both viral and cellular RNAs. I joined the Whelan lab in November of 2013 and I am currently working to identify new determinants of viral entry used by various bunyaviruses.
